Tiny Escape offers a unique travel experience with your furry companions on Lazarus Island in Singapore, a great “overseas” experience without needing your passport!
The staycation begins with a ferry ride from either Marina South pier or Sentosa cove pier. Impressively, your furry friend rides free of charge and even gets their own ticket! You can also bring prams, bicycles, and all your food and drinks for your stay on the island without any additional ferry fee.
Tiny Escape comprises six tiny houses, with a few designated as pet-friendly accommodations. The tiny houses offer a great sea view and come packed with amenities to make your island staycation comfortable and convenient. Each air-conditioned unit has a kitchenette, toilet, shower space, outdoor patio, and a large bed, sofa and even a bed for your furry companion, accommodating up to four adults. Please note, there are additional charges for each pet.
Lazarus Island is a small island south of Singapore, connected to St John Island. The island is well maintained with a beautiful crescent white sandy beach. Pets can roam around on clean pavements and well-maintained grass patches that separate the forest area, keeping bugs and mosquitoes at bay. The entire island is like a giant dog park with dog-friendly beaches. However, caution is advised as encounters with wildlife such as snakes and monitor lizards are possible. Visitors are also instructed to respect turtles that may lay eggs on the beach at night.
There is only one small convenience store and some vending machines that do not accept wireless payments, so it’s best to plan your meals and bring food and drinks from the Singapore mainland. Last-minute supplies can be purchased from the convenience store at Marina South pier or from Cold Storage at Sentosa Cove, if departing from the Sentosa jetty. Limited parking is available at Marina South pier and more space at Sentosa Cove, though both can be expensive for overnight or multi-day parking.
The stay at the Tiny House is cosy and comfortable, with ample supply of electricity and water. The design is eco-friendly, featuring a bio-degradable machine for food scraps and a recyclable dustbin. The tiny houses also come with complimentary cup noodles, snacks, drinks, and even beer. During wet weather, you can cuddle up with your furry buddies to watch TV with favourite subscription services such as Netflix. Wi-Fi and local 4G and 5G networks are available. Coffee and tea are also provided! However, there’s much to explore on this beautiful island getaway. There’s a sea activity center where you can rent non-motorized sea sports equipment, or simply enjoy the sandy beach with your furry companions.
For meals, you can pre-order microwavable gourmet meal boxes or use the provided smokeless BBQ cooker at the outdoor deck area. It’s a great dining experience under the starry night with your furry buddies.
Check-in at Tiny Escape is at 3 pm and check-out is at 11:30 am. You can book the ferry tickets after booking the staycation through the add-on email.
Overall, it’s a fantastic experience and one of the few places where you and your furry friends can enjoy a little adventure together, away from the bustling city life of Singapore.
